Meet the artist

Hi! I’m Danielle, former elementary school teacher turned entrepreneur. Born and raised in Annapolis, Maryland, my love for all things nautical/crab related should come as no surprise. You’ll find this theme throughout my products as it continues to be the inspiration behind my designs.

I am currently living out my dream and can’t thank my family enough for giving me the encouragement I needed to take this one-woman-show, full-time. Around 5pm on any given day, you will most likely find me with paint in my hair (still a mystery to me), a glass of wine in one hand (preferably white), and a paint brush in the other.

How it all began…

Finding gift-worthy items for family or friends can be a daunting task. The pressure of finding the perfect gift that expresses just how much they mean to you is not always easy! Lucky for you, I’m here to help.

Wine by Design was born for that exact reason. As a newly claimed “big sister” in my sorority, I experienced the pressure of creating a jaw dropping basket filled with unique and personalized gifts tailored uniquely towards my “little sister”. The task left me wondering why the act of giving someone a gift has to be so terrifying?! I turned to the most unique idea I could think of , hand-made, personalized gifts, and started crafting.

I soon began crafting gifts for every occasion and before I knew it, one thing led to another and Wine by Design was born.
